Most examples of people with identical looks are identical twins. However, there are examples of other cases. Sometimes people have doppelgangers. This phenomenon isn’t explained, but it has led to some weird cases.
The origin of the German word “Doppelganger” means “double-walker.” It originally referred to a ghost, but now it is used to find someone who looks identical to someone they know.

I was taking a walk beside the nearby lake, and I thought about my father for a moment. My father doesn’t live in the country where I live. Suddenly, I saw a man who looked and walked exactly like my father and was the same age. I was freaked out, so I followed him. He went to a nearby hill and suddenly turned around so I could see him up close. I was even more freaked out because he looked almost exactly like my father. He faced me and then looked away. Can someone explain what this could be? It is very strange that not only did he look like my father, but he also walked like him and was the same age. Even his mannerisms were like my father’s. I feel very emotionally distressed because I feel like I saw my father, and he ignored me.
