It’s no secret that first dates can be a little stressful sometimes, especially if you’re hoping to find a connection while worrying about what could possibly go wrong. Although you still want to be yourself, exposing all your weird quirks and bad habits on day one is not advised. The pressure to make a good impression can feel overwhelming, but if you’re lucky enough, you might find the person you were meant to be with. That was not the case for one TikTok user, Rachel Paige (@raepaige), who recently shared her disastrous first date experience on the social media app.
First Date Horror Story
Rachel shared a video on TikTok and expressed that the date had started really well. They were having a great time when the man asked if she would like to return to his house to “watch a movie.” She agreed happily, unaware that their perfect date would end in disaster as soon as they walked into his house.
In a video posted to her TikTok account, she said, “I went on a date with a guy. It was our first date. We had fajitas and margaritas – it was good, it was fun. He was funny, he was nice, and [after dinner] he was like, ‘Hey, do you want to go back to my house to watch a movie?’.
“We get to his house, and he takes me to his room. I sit on his bed, and then he immediately goes into the bathroom. No big deal, whatever. If you gotta go potty, you gotta go potty. But he didn’t close the door. He pulled down his pants and sat on the toilet. I’m thinking maybe he sits when he pees. That’s fine, I don’t judge, I don’t care.”
Although the encounter was rather strange, she didn’t think much about the fact that he had decided to pee with the door open. But she soon learned that the man was doing much more than just emptying his bladder. Rachel continued, “He’s sitting there for a minute, and I’m like, ‘What are you doing?’ And he’s like, ‘I’m pooping’. Who does that?!”
The Internet’s Reaction
The video quickly went viral, garnering over 275k views, 20k likes, and over 400 comments. Other TikTok users flooded the comments, expressing that they were equally baffled by the man’s strange decision to leave the bathroom door open.
Many of them said that’s not something you do on a first date or any date for that matter. Others said that if he was comfortable enough to do that on the first date, they couldn’t imagine what he would be capable of when he’s even more comfortable around Rachel.
@mami_loves3_ commented, “Call the police, ain’t no way. Boy, bye. ” While @mercyisthbest commented, “I had a guy do this on our third date as I was in the bathroom getting ready.”
